Honestly the women in the Actress in a Leading Roll category were all amazing in their movies I saw all of them except The Last Station but Helen Mirren is always great. I think it will go to either Sandra Bullock ( love herrrrr) or Meryl Streep. Directing should go to Kathryn Bigelow for "The Hurt Locker". Best Picture is a tough one cause they were all good.

Didn't like The Hurt Locker, way too "american" for me,didn't feel any sympathy for the characters, the other movies on the best movie category are good, can't pick one....

  4. I'm watching right now the last 2 movies I'm missing for Best Pict. category and my vote goes to either A Single Man or The Hurt Locker. Both, IMO, were exquisitely made films that had a class to it and a message that underlies the tone of the movie. Avatar was a great film, but I think it lacks originality to the script. The experience in the theatre is mindblowing with the effects and the way its shot, but it's not on the same level as a whole compared to some other top films.
As far as Best Director goes, it’s a coin toss between Bigelow and Cameron (coincidently each-other’s ex-spouses). They did such a fantastic job, blaahh so hard to choose. I adored Tarantino too for Basterds, I LOVED that movie. Haha.
Best Actress is reeeaaally hard for me. You can't go wrong with Meryl, but I really want an underdog to win this one. I adore Sandra, not sure if she's got enough to beat the other awesome ladies like Gabourey or Carey for the Oscar though. I didn't see The Last Station, but Helen is always fantastic in anything she does as well. Tough, indeed!

There's been some great dresses on the red carpet so far, Anna Kendrick, and Zoe Zaldana both looked great.
They lucked out with the weather, the rain hit a day early!
I take that back, Zoe Zaldana's dress looked good, from the waist up! :P

    Hi guys!
I disagree with Alyssa about Zoe's dress.. It's like a carpet! xD
But I think Anna looks great! And the colour of Vera Farminga's dress is awesome!

I'm waiting for the next celebrities =)

And about the movies... I can't choose the best one, because I have not watched all of them... =(

A lot of great dresses tonight & then men always look good. I can't think back to who it was exactly but I remember seeing some really good dresses with really bad accessories that threw off the whole dress and didn't really work all together.

I liked Mariska Hargitay her dress was kind of plain but I liked how it looked. Meryl Streep looked good I liked her hair Carey Mulligan had a nice dress not to Glam but it was a good choice for her, young and fun.

    It's starting!

Helen Mirren, IMO, is always one of the best dressed. Always elegant and classic.

I'm really liking Sandra Bullock's look as well - much more sleek than she usually goes. Love her hair!

    J Lo's is interesting as usual...but I'm pleasantly surprised.

Sarah Jessica Parker...eh, a bit over the top. Too much metal around the neck.

Neil Patrick Harris is made of awesome!
