   I have been a girl gamer for quite a few years, since I was about 12-13, so like 10 years now. I started in Counter-Strike, and later to other shoot em up kinda games.
   I remember when I started, there were very few girls who played online games, I even had to change my gaming name to something a little more male, because I would get teased for having my in game name as "amy. <3", so I went by "Genoc //*" for a while, just so guys would leave me alone, and not know I was a girl.

   But lately, I have noticed ALOT more girls playing, I even belong to several groups of all girl players. There is still quite a bit of teasing and bullying in game, but it is getting alot more tolerable.

   Was just wondering if there are any other girl gamers on here, and what sorta games you play :)

   Saaaweet!! Finally someone out there plays video games and that I can have conversations with about!! Yupp I started around 7 playing tekken and metal gear solid and then I got really into it by playing games like call of duty and halo!! Lol my cousin who is a guy is the one that got me into shooting games starting with counter strike, and I ended up making my own account for that I used to be known as "FlipperGrl**" after that I changed it to "Boxer" lol it was the only thing that came up in my mind!! Well two thumbs up plus my fingers are in for gaming!!!!

   ooh yeh, i just bought an xbox 360, so started playing halo 3 n stuff.

   good thing is, i even out my gaming time by running on a treadmill in front of my TV while I play, hehe.

   I'm impressed to hear that u used to play counterstrike, this is the 1st time i hear that a girl(s) loves to play it... Where i live counterstrike is not popular among girls at all, only us guys play it and not online, but at some computer network center, and when the playing starts u can say that it's not a suitable place for ladies anymore... LOL, FIRE IN THE HOLE :P :P *hope u know what i mean by this, otherwise i'll feel dumb* :S :P

   haha i know wat u mean, it took a while for the guys to get used to me playing at LAN's, but now im just one of the guys, lol.

   I have been a girl gamer for a very long time every since n64!
   best video game is Battlefield on the PC but yeah war games, hockey games.. for xbox including gears of war but come on u can chainsaw aliens its good for anger management lol

   Did any of you ever tried Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games like : World of Warcraft ? Eve online ? Age of Conan ?
   I' ve been playing these for many years and from what i know there are Plenty girls playing these :)
